An audiovisual work on the theme of “Timeline.” It explores the themes of plastic degradation, natural cycles, and contrast.
The scene consists of a forest environment with moss, ferns, and other vegetation growing. In the center lies a distinct, angular, artificial object that disrupts the harmony and natural balance of the setting. This object is a plastic toy—a gun. The choice is intentional. It best represents our relationship with nature – a war. At the same time, it expresses frustration with the current political situation in the world (January 2025).
The project takes the form of a looping video, where the passage of time is visualized through a timeline. Over the course of the video, four cycles of growth and decay unfold in the organic elements of the scene. Yet, the plastic object remains unchanged. This suggests that, while time moves forward, plastic endures – virtually unaltered for decades, even thousands of years.
