Frutiger Aero 

The clausal theme of energy literally demanded an exploration of the visual aesthetic of Frutiger Aero. This is an aesthetic that was prevalent in advertising, stock photography and technology from approximately 2004 to 2013, and is a direct descendant of the Y2K era. With its dynamic lines, use of natural elements and vibrant colors, it literally resonates with the concept of energy. It represents the sense of movement and modernity that the whole aesthetic seeks to focus on.

The exploration of this aesthetic began with the creation of the MAC OS system graphics, which were transformed into Frutiger Aero using the visual elements of skeumorphism and humanism. As the aesthetic not only figured in the digital environment, but also in the real one, creating realistic mockups with a period feel was in order. Thus a series of three mockups in the Frutiger visual was created.
