Speed is an experimental web project. The project explores how modern digital distractions affect our ability to focus on essential things.

Concept
The website presents a lyrical text about happy and fulfilled life, which is however intentionally unreadable due to constant bombardment by distracting elements – fake notifications, moving cursors, blinking text, and advertisements. This vividly demonstrates how “quick dopamine” (fast dopamine stimuli) masks “slow dopamine” (slow, deeper satisfaction).

Inspiration
The project draws from interactive websites like neal.fun/stimulation-clicker and how-i-experience-web-today.com, which similarly critically reflect the current state of digital attention and information overload.

The result is a provocative commentary on how technology affects our ability to perceive and process important information in today’s hyperstimulated world.
