The Wallachian Regional Museum

The aim of the contract for the Museum of the Wallachia region was to create a new visual identity. I started by studying the typical signs and traditions of the given region, which later turned out to be crucial. My goal was to combine tradition with modern elements.

When creating the logo, I was based on the pattern of the embroidery on the Wallachian costume, and when choosing the colors, I was inspired by the colors of the famous Jurkovič lookout, which falls under the territory of Wallachia. The pictograms are a simple stylization of the five main buildings of the museum, differing in the shape of their roofs and windows. And it was from these roofs that a modern pattern was created, enlivening the entire visual identity.
