One in another // Leek caps

I show something that is usually hidden. I demonstrate something that is undesirable to consumers and I point it out.

Who would like to buy a blooming radish, cauliflower or carrot? Who would like to face the seeds inside of a banana or a cucumber? Who would buy a lettuce with roots? Who would welcome a broccoli covered with leaves?  Who would appreciate sprouted garlic or potatoes?

Even though these parts are not something that seems either desirable or practical from the point of view of a consumer, they are necessary and essential for the reproduction of any vegetable. And so, let’s praise these things and celebrate their existence!

The shapes of these crocheted caps are inspired by the shape of a leek blossom (the bud and the fully blooming flower).
