Moving away from the countryside into the city meant a number of changes in my behaviour, as well as my perception of the world around me.
My life’s pace became quicker, and a lot can easily go unnoticed at that speed. Through this work, I make a return to consciously paying attention to my surroundings. I begin to again fully focus on the details, the tiny movements and changes within the wilderness I pass through. It is not an easy task. Therefore I am enlisting the aid of glass, which can deform and alter reality. Watching through it inspires in me a desire to understand and explore. An easy way to pique my appetite are also the ducks, who I make drawings of, trying to capture their essence and, later, trace their silhouettes using glass.
These subjects are later reflected in other items as well, and they all come together to form a compact whole – a starter pack for going through every day more consciously. At the same time, they capture the process of coming back to a slow and meticulous way of experiencing life.
