MIDTONE

The project explores the space between what is spoken and unspoken, between presence and absence. It is inspired by situations that never happened, words that were never said, and thoughts that remain suspended in the space between people.

The primary visual motif is reptilian skin, symbolizing transformation, the preservation of traces, and the continuous layering of experience. The organic surface gradually transitions into leather, creating a dialogue between the natural and the constructed. Material edges are intentionally left exposed and finished with pinking shears, emphasizing incompleteness, interruption, and fragility.

The resulting object captures a moment between emergence and disappearance, connection and loss. It becomes a carrier of traces left by what remained unsaid, yet continues to shape our relationships and everyday experiences.
