Bar Stool Design for the Spatial Design Studio with Potential Use in Public Spaces
1:1 Scale Model
When designing the stool, I focused primarily on the materials, colours, and shapes already present in the studio. Comfort and practicality were also important aspects of the design. These qualities are most evident in the oval cut-out in the backrest, which can be used, for example, to hang a bag.

Materials
I selected materials that either inherently meet fire safety requirements or can be treated to do so, making them suitable for use in public spaces.
The entire frame of the stool, including the armrests and footrests, is designed from bent reinforcing steel rods (rebar). A plywood backrest and a seat with foam padding are attached to the frame, ensuring comfortable seating.

Colours
The most prominent colour is red, inspired by the red table in the studio, finished in RAL 3001. The wood tone is intended to match the wooden elements already present in the studio, allowing the stool to blend naturally into the existing environment.
Shapes
The design is based on clean and simple lines.
The main visual motif is the oval shape, which appears repeatedly throughout the stool and unifies its overall appearance. This element is most noticeable in the backrest, where it also serves a practical function.
