The aim of this thesis is to propose a sustainable model for establishing a new community
radio station in the Zlín metropolitan area. The theoretical section defines the concepts of the cultural
and creative industries, with a focus on the specific role of alternative media in the development of
local communities.
The practical section uses the Lean Canvas to define the project’s key pillars,
such as the value proposition, customer segments, and the cost and revenue structure. The proposal is
based on a comparative analysis of existing community radio station models in the Czech
Republic and in-depth interviews with representatives of community radio stations. The thesis reflects the character of Zlín, its creative history, and the current absence of a comprehensive multi-genre platform of this type.
The main output is a comprehensive Lean Canvas framework, which serves as a
strategic guide for establishing and operating a community radio station designed to foster
creative dialogue and connect cultural actors in the Zlín region.
