Diffraction / interference

Wave–particle duality of light is a physical phenomenon describing a state in which light can simultaneously manifest as both a wave and a particle. Light has the potential to behave dually; it depends only on how we observe or measure it. As light propagates through space, it behaves as a wave, while during interaction with matter it manifests as a particle.

The moment when two waves meet is called interference – the waves can either amplify or diminish one another. This principle can be understood as a symbolic representation of the relationship between a man and a woman, as a dynamic of mutual interaction. The brooches thus create an invisible bond between their wearers, where difference transforms into mutual influence, connection, and unity.
