When we are children, we bring objects to life. We create stories, homes, and entire worlds for them. However, play is not limited to childhood; it accompanies us throughout our lives. Its form changes, yet it remains a natural part of who we are. Just as in childhood, it continues to lead us towards discovering the world, gaining new experiences, and understanding ourselves. Childhood play gradually transforms into creation, experimentation, and the search for new meanings. The impulse for this collection came from an old necklace that I wore as a child and rediscovered years later among toys and objects we had outgrown. Through the upcycling of its components, wearable objects emerged that move along the boundary between toy and jewellery. The dominant element, black plastic spheres, connects childhood, playfulness, and imagination. They become the eyes of imaginary creatures, tactile elements designed for touch and interaction, as well as carriers of personal memory. Their movement allows the wearer to engage in a form of play and establish a personal relationship with the object. The cases, created from upcycled textiles, serve not only a protective function. They represent shelters or homes for the jewellery pieces, extending their narratives and creating space for imagination. In this way, the collection brings together childhood imagination and an adult creative approach, exploring how play shapes our relationship with objects throughout our lives.
