Stilla

The set of two jewellery pieces (a hairpin and earrings) themed around Great Moravia draws inspiration from Slavic religion and its mythological figures – specifically the Rusalka.

These beings were associated with the Rusalje festival, during which people brought them offerings in the form of flowers and wreaths, most often in birch groves and near rivers or streams, which were regarded as sacred places.

Using the lost-wax casting technique, the structure of birch catkins is captured in silver and used as the primary element of the jewellery. The pieces are complemented by resin components that evoke frozen water and droplets. The set interprets this motif in a contemporary form, connecting historical inspiration with a modern approach to wearable jewellery.
