Design on the Edge is a professional conference featuring six speakers who are master designers held each year. In 2023, the 14th edition will take place. Each edition has a completely new identity.
I based the overall visual for Design on the Edge on a blue abstract texture. It was created using acrylic paint and a squeegee. After scanning it, I animated it in After Effects. The texture also appears on the faces of the speakers, contributing to the artistic touch and completing the look of the identity. The abstraction represents the boundary between art and design, as well as the boundary between manual and digital processing. It will reflect the fact, that the conference will feature presentations from speakers from various fields of design and art.
