Exhibition space design in a modular unit for LD Seating

The assignment was to create an exhibition space in a KOMA modular unit for the new Terra Lounge collection by LD Seating, designed by Orlandi Design.

The main idea of my concept was to demonstrate that the softness of Terra Lounge is capable of softening even the sharp edges commonly found in nature (stones, broken branches), and that it is therefore in harmony with nature and the Earth.
I wanted to project this idea by covering cardboard boxes with fabric, which together would form a bulky mass, adjustable in specific spots, custom-built for the two specified chairs.

Part of the design process also involved becoming aware of the surrounding space. Based on the assigned location of the KOMA module, I identified the most frequented viewpoints and the point of highest attention, and I shaped the form of the cardboards in the module accordingly.
