This thesis develops a proposal for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Tomas Bata. The significant anniversary is an opportunity for the city of Zlín and Zlín institutions, including the Tomas Bata Memorial. This timeless building is closely connected with the legacy of Tomas Bata, and therefore it is proposed to develop a concept of the anniversary in the Memorial. The theoretical part will be a space for documents dealing with the history of the building and site-specific art installations, which should be reflected in the practical part. The aim will be to develop the design with sensitivity to the history and architect of the building in such a way that even people who are not interested in architecture can visit the Memorial and get the opportunity to interact with the building, to get to know it in a new context and to take away an experience that they will tell others about.
