The jewellery collection is based on a childhood memory of playing with daisies, when individual blossoms were threaded onto the stem of the longest daisy, gradually forming small wreaths or chains. The work is inspired by playing in nature, by personal memory, and by the atmosphere of a childhood spent in the countryside.
This principle of assembling is translated into the jewellery as a variable form of play. A threading element finished with a silver wire is gradually passed through the centres of the individual daisies. After being threaded through the final flower, the chain is secured with an end component to prevent it from coming loose during wear. The jewellery therefore does not have only one fixed form, but can change according to the imagination and creativity of the person wearing it.
The pieces are made of silver. The individual flowers are complemented with freshwater pearl beads, which refer to the centre of a real daisy while also enabling the threading mechanism.
The work also includes a box designed to protect and store the jewellery. It is made of MDF board and plexiglass, with the inner part supplemented by a foam insert that ensures the safe placement of the jewellery during transport. The box therefore serves not only a protective function, but also as a presentation and storage case after purchase.
