The pair of jewelry was created on the given theme of Game. The pair consists of glasses and a chain for glasses.
The materials used in the jewelry are aimed at toying with the wearer’s senses. The combination of cotton and glass textures plays with the tactile sense, while the green colored glass modifies the wearer’s sight. The pieces are made up of brass, plexiglass, fabric, cotton and glass.
The jewelry is focused on the concept of transformation. It takes inspiration from children’s world of imagination and the way a child’s mind transforms the world. This idea carried over into the form of mold that similarly transform the world around us into beautiful forms of art.
Part of the assignment was to create a package that tackles the method of storage, protection and presentation of the jewelry. The jewelry packaging is designed in the form of a simple wooden box, which contrasts the complexity of the jewelry with its simplicity.
