Theory and Technology | Lost wax casting

This course was aimed at mastering a jewelry technique called the “lost wax casting”.
The lost wax casting is a casting method in which an object is created from wax, sealed into a ceramic mold and then poured, in this case, with silver. The result is a piece of jewelry that exceptionally captures all the details which were created within the wax model. This allows for intricate details and textures.
This specific piece of jewelry is inspired by Gothic morphology. The piece was blackened after processing, and then polished over months of wear, in this way achieving a natural shine.
