Film festival in Locarno organizes an annual public competition for the poster design, based on which the identity of the year is created. The symbol of the festival is a leopard and the color combination of black with yellow.
I based my design on an original drawing of the number 76.
The number 7 is created in a special hatching resembling fur, while the smooth lines represent the plasticity of a leopard. The graphic of the number 6 consists of noise resembling film. I used overlapping of numbers and layers, which adds dynamics and resembles the change of frames in a movie.
