Nature North Napajedla

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the design of the revitalization of one of several lakes created after the gravel extraction in village of Spytihněv and Napajedla. The aim of the design is to improve the conditions for swimming and to make its surroundings more attractive, for example by a new viewpoint, place where to eat and new paths.

Except smaller deciduous forest there is fairly bare and flat terrain, so to achieve its dynamics, I suggest planting a larger number of trees. My design respects the needs of modern man, in connection with nature. I enriched the place with new activities, spaces to recharge and greenery.

The relatively large promontory provides the opportunity to centralize most of the requirements here and thus save most of the surroundings from interfering with nature. A dynamic trail will lead across the entire promontory to the lookout point. The choice of natural materials such as stone and wood will minimally disrupt the composition of the environment, and on the contrary will further support it. Greenery is the basis for the overall impression, both aesthetic and natural. Greenery allows you to guide paths, create various nooks and tune the atmosphere of mystery. The whole solved space will be connected by the idea of the map of the senses. The environment will be divided into several sensory zones. The sense of smell will be symbolized by meadow flowers. Sight is replaced by vantage points. The taste will be expressed by fruit trees and snacks. Hearing is sharpened around the bird site and by splashing water. We can feel the touch by building a sand castle on the beach or walking along various surfaces. These zones will support the perception of oneself and the surroundings.
