The Cherry Orchard is the last play by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. Written in 1903. According to my conception for scenography, we are in near future around year 2050 in garden of levitating trees and simply room. From begining of 1st Act the sand start falling on the scene. Sand symbolize passing time as hour glass. More and more sand is falling during the play. Everything is covered by sand in the end of the play including Firs is sitting in the sand.
