Prison of history

The film about the prison in Uherský Hradiště is intended as a cinematic statement of the place. Through interactive excursions, interviews, testimonies, meetings of actors are designed that correspond to the past, current and intended functions and roles of the place. Interpretation and silence, vivid images, scribbled wall, intimate touch of the walls, between which the epochs marched. Prison as a being. The film as an opportunity to call for a direct encounter with history from the position of staff, protagonists and spectators. The dominant feature of the visual processing is the tree, which has taken over associations associated either directly or indirectly with the prison and its surroundings. The tree is drawn with a hand-drawn wire drawing as a touch of humanity to such a deserted space as a prison. If you look at it better, the viewer will find symbols that refer directly to the film and should arouse curiosity but also ambiguity in it, so that it has the motivation to watch the film. I chose the color dark green with pale beige referring to the walls of the prison overgrown with trees.
