The “Shell” series consists of several glass objects, namely two blown casts of an elbow and a knee, or a lying back. They represent certain parts of the human body. At first glance, they might seem like unclassifiable, abstract objects. Only in a joint installation do they create a human figure and take on a clear shape. They depict how, despite all the criticism and negative associations, the body is ultimately nothing more than flesh and skin.
