TRACES

This object is made of a circular wooden frame, from which a 1.6 meter long fabric – panama – is spreading out. Panama fabric is printed with blue paint, which left prints of varying intensity, between which the paths of the bark beetle twists. The paint was applied using a glass roll into which the paths and trails were engraved. Thanks to that was created a repeating pattern. This work represents trees and, somehow my view of them and the inspiration they bring me. The wooden frame, together with handmade recycled paper, serves as a window to look under the bark of the trees. And so we are given a view of the paths left by the bark beetle.
