Action painting

Visual experiment – I imagined, what would Jackson Pollock create, if he had current technology at his disposal. The action painting in today’s world. I programmed a virtual canvas, that responds to sound levels in the room. If the sound rises above the whisper volume, it creates random color spots, that wiggle, simulating a drunk perspective. The drops increase in size as the sound gets louder – and the observer is forced to make more noises, because if they stop, the painting slowly dissolves. Just as in the original action painting, the experience of creating is the main value of this art.

Color palette A
Color palette B

Because of the experiment, I tried to make different color palettes, finally sticking with the two above. More of them can be seen just here.
